Policy Briefs

It took from 1992 to The Paris Agreement of 2015 to set targets to keep a global average temperature rise this century well below 2 degrees Celsius and to drive efforts to limit the temperature increase even further to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Every year that passes, we lose opportunity to achieve this goal.

Our research points to the success of collaborative approaches to overcome disagreements among parties in negotiations. Our project recommends how approaches from the fields of facilitation and mediation can be used to accelerate global agreements and global capacity-building needed to meet the Paris Agreement goals.
