Maja Groff

Maja Groff is an international lawyer based in The Hague, and is a Convenor of the Climate Governance Commission, which seeks to propose high impact global governance innovations adequate to meet the climate challenge. As a Principal Legal Officer, she has worked on the development and administration of multilateral treaties, at international criminal tribunals, taught at the Hague Academy of International Law and is currently a visiting scholar at Leiden University. Maja is a graduate of Harvard, Oxford, and McGill Universities. She is an attorney admitted to practice in the state of New York, formerly working in corporate law.
She was a co-winner of a major international prize in 2018 on global governance innovation (New Shape Prize). She serves on the Advisory Boards of BCorp Europe and ebbf, organisations devoted to ethical business.
