Novie is dedicated to living a sustainable lifestyle. She has continually exhibited a commitment to significant projects and efforts aimed at promoting good change, owing to her foundation in data analysis, research, and project management. She is a Statistician and Researcher by profession (2009), and studied environmental management and natural resource management from the University of the Philippines – Open University (2018). She joined and contributed to a rural development project for upland areas on Panay Island, Philippines (2017-2019), and served as Project Officer I of a regional project on weather and climate science for service partnership (WCSSP) for Southeast Asia, a collaboration between the UK and the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam (2019-2022).

She sought to bridge project management, research, and statistical analysis with her diverse work experience from the public and private sectors in order to motivate people and communities to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
