Laura Mai

Laura Mai is a final-year PhD Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at King’s College London, UK. Her research explores the role of non-Party stakeholders in the implementation of the Paris Agreement, focusing specifically on local governments and financial institutions

Working on the interface between climate law and policy, Laura is a qualified solicitor and has worked for public sector and international organisations, including the German Foreign Office and the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat. She advised the UK All-Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group in its pre-COP26 inquiry on the role of sub-national governments.
